Southern California has been operating a health insurance exchange for more than 15 years and now boasts 150,000 plus members and some 12,000 employers on its rolls. Combining this shining example of cooperation and the Affordable Care Act passed in 2010 by Congress, the coming California Health Insurance Exchange should be up and running in 2012 and work to help you find affordable health insurance coverage.
The California Health Insurance Exchange Should be Like a Comparison Site
Insurance comparison sites are currently being very successfully used to help those in need of medical insurance look at the different health insurance providers and compare their policies, coverages and prices before buying their health care insurance. Theoretically the California Health Insurance Exchange will function in a similar fashion. This should make it possible for everyone without health care insurance to find affordable medical insurance and meet the mandatory medical insurance requirements as required by the new Affordable Care Act.
