Medigap in California cannot be obtained if you are already on a Medicare Advantage plan. Since 2006, Medigap plans are also not permitted to provide prescription drug coverage, as this is offered by Medicare part D. You can increase your cover for specialty medical services such as chiropractic care and other services by obtaining a private supplementary plan. There are many free electronic brochures available which outline the basic benefits of similar offerings from major health insurance providers.
